Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zycus.
Integration Analyst
There were 3 rounds: an aptitude test, a technical interview, and an HR interview. The final round was at their SEEPZ office, and the technical interview was conducted by the Zycus Technical Head along with a supportive team.
- Tell me about your Java knowledge.
- Can you solve these puzzles?
Technical Analyst
The hiring process began with an aptitude test, which was a pen-and-paper exam. It had 10 questions, with 2 marks for correct answers and a 1-mark penalty for incorrect ones. Roughly 70 candidates moved forward from the initial pool of 306. Next was a technical round where we received two sheets of paper and a question paper. This contained two programming questions, similar to those on Hackerrank. We had 45 minutes to solve at least one of them, though I managed to complete both. This stage saw 15 people selected. The final stage was an interview that lasted about 40 minutes. The interviewer talked about my responses from the second round, then asked about my resume. They asked many data structure questions, which I mostly answered correctly. Ultimately, 2 candidates were chosen.
- Can you elaborate on your responses from the second round?
- Tell me about your resume.
- What are your data structures?
MIS Analyst
I had a recruiter call and then an interview with a technical panel at Andheri. They asked me illogical questions, I don't understand why they would ask such questions for an MIS job. It felt like they were making fun of candidates, very disappointed with the company for wasting my time.
- In a dark room, there is a table and a mix of white and black socks in the drawer. How many socks can you take out to guarantee a pair?
