It was a phone interview with HR first, then I moved on to interview with the manager. They asked basic behavioral questions like 'Tell me about yourself' and 'walk me through your projects', and also touched on some technical topics.

I was surprised to have to answer the very same old questions like why do you want to work for us and why should we choose you? I was a bit disappointed that they were not creative at all and that the second person interviewing me was trying to look super smart, secure and trying to make me feel insecure. It felt much more like a school interview than a real professional interview. No question was asked about the company itself. I thought as a senior professional I don't have to answer anymore if I feel secure about myself...

Applied online, then found and contacted a recruiter. The recruiter said they'd reach out if opportunities arose. About 3 days later, the recruiter called to set up a 15-minute interview. A week after that, the recruiter called again to schedule an interview with the hiring manager for the next week. That interview was also about 30 minutes. The day after that, I got a verbal offer. The whole process took a bit over 3 weeks. Key things to remember: it was mostly behavioral questions, be ready to discuss your resume, and research the company beforehand.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Tell me about a time you encountered a moral dilemma.
  • Can you discuss your experience with ____ as listed on your resume?
