First, I sent in my resume online with a cover letter that I specifically tailored to match my experience with the job description. I spent about 4 weeks researching Zurich, the org, the kind of work they do, and the specific position. I also talked to people I knew who worked there to get the inside scoop on the role and the team. One contact was super familiar with the team and gave me great pointers on what makes a strong candidate and what the managers are like. Then, a recruiter called me for an initial phone screen that seemed to be on the spot. Right after that, they scheduled a face-to-face interview. This included meeting with my potential manager, another manager who would be heavily involved in directing and scheduling the work, and a team interview with three colleagues, two of whom were already in the same role. The day after the interviews, the HR recruiter contacted me to get details about my availability, as they intended to make an offer. The offer came through on the third day after the interview, just 48 hours after the HR recruiter's call about their intent to offer. I ended up turning down the offer.

There was a recruiter call and then a panel interview. It wasn't a standard question-and-answer session. They made sure I was comfortable. They asked questions related to the business analyst role, specifically for data extract, transform, and load (ETL), which requires advanced SQL.

First, there was a phone interview. Then, I had three in-person interviews, which included both one-on-one meetings and roundtable discussions. The job offer came pretty quickly after the interviews were completed.
