I had a really great interview experience, it was super insightful and I enjoyed chatting with everyone. It started with a short recruiter call, then I spoke with the hiring manager, followed by a session with some product team members, and finally a take-home assignment that included a presentation. There were quite a few rounds, but the recruiter was on top of things and got back to me fast, so scheduling was quick. Everyone I met was really friendly and open, which made it feel not overwhelming at all. I genuinely liked the whole interview process and meeting the team, it really felt like a great place to work.

The recruiter wasn't the nicest, seemed like she didn't want to have the scheduled call with me at all. Right away, she asked how I heard about Zumper, even before a simple greeting. She then rapid-fire went through a list of questions back-to-back. It wasn't conversational and didn't sound like she was trying to learn about my background or why I'm interested in the role. She quickly decided I was overqualified and said she'd check for other roles for me. She ended the call after 15 minutes and emailed me right away saying there were no other openings. It was a really strange experience and by far the worst recruiter call I've had. I felt like my time was wasted since I was actually excited about the company.

My interview process was informative and friendly. I spoke with a recruiter, very casual get to know you vibes. He was very thorough and gave me a good sense of direction where I wanted to go. Overall fun conversation. Next day I interview with the Regional VP. Great conversation, again, the goal was to highlight my sales background. Next round of interview was with the same person to present my 30-60-90 day sales plan along with a powerpoint pitch on a social media platform of my choice. Try to have fun with this! Last interview will be with the VP of Sales- again, just have fun and be yourself.

Behavioral Case

Applied online, got a phone screener next day. Then had another call with the hiring manager. Next, I went onsite to talk to the hiring manager and a VP. All through this, the questions were clear and relevant, and they answered my questions well. After the interview, I did a case study at home. They decided to go with other candidates after that, but they told me straight away. It was a good experience overall, and I'd def apply again.
