The hiring process for this role starts with a phone interview, which is casual and friendly. Expect standard interview questions about your previous experience and how it fits within the merchandising department. After that, you'll complete a skills test where you'll format an Excel spreadsheet and use retail math. The next step is an onsite interview. You'll meet with two team members who will take turns asking questions. It's a nice experience, and they want to get to know you. This company is inviting, so just be yourself and don't stress. After the onsite interview, the recruiter you first spoke with will offer you the position, and then you'll complete a background check online.

I sent in my application online towards the end of August. Within a few days, they reached out with some basic questions via email, asking about the kind of environments where I do my best work and my past job experiences. The recruiter contacted me the same day to set up a phone interview. Sadly, I was going to be on a plane during the time she suggested, so we had to reschedule for the next day. We both confirmed the new time and date through email. As soon as my plane landed, I turned my phone on and saw a voicemail from her saying she tried to reach me at the original time she mentioned. I quickly emailed her to see if anything had changed. I never got an email back. The following day, I waited at the time we agreed on, but she never called. I gave her a call and left a message, but I haven't heard anything back from her. I'm guessing at this point that I won't hear back. It was super frustrating and not very professional.

I put in my application online on a Friday. Then, on Monday, a Zulily Recruiter reached out via email about chatting about the job. They sent over five quick questions for me to answer before we booked a phone interview. The weird part is, they never actually called me at the time we agreed on. I ended up leaving them a voicemail and sending an email, but I still haven't heard back. It was pretty disappointing, especially since I know a bunch of people who work there.
