& Process

I was first contacted by HR for an initial discussion about my current role and background. Then, I took a 1.5-hour online test covering aptitude, language, behavioral, and grammatical skills. The next step was a case study where I was given a business case to create a 10–12 slide presentation. After submitting it, I had an interview with the next level of leadership to present my slides as if to a client, followed by a discussion and Q&A, which felt more like an interactive conversation than a rigid interview. The final round was with the Head of India, another conversational interview where I was shown a graph and asked about my current role, learnings, areas for growth, and how I'd keep up with consulting expectations. The process was moderately difficult, well-structured, and supportive, with a very helpful HR team guiding me.

The hiring process was pretty smooth and organized. First, they looked at my resume, then I had a Talview assessment. The first interview was a mix of a business case study and a fitment interview, checking my problem-solving and communication skills. The last interview was all about analytical thinking and how I interpret data. The whole thing felt streamlined, and the recruiters kept me updated clearly and on time. I got the offer pretty quickly after the final interview.

A headhunter reached out to me about this role at ZoomRx. The first step was a phone call with one of the founders. After that, I had to do a presentation for the team. They gave me a mock Market Research study with a business situation and the data in Excel, and I had the whole weekend to complete it. They were kind of pushy about me doing it over the weekend. The analysis and presentation needed some marketing knowledge to focus on the right data and present it well for an executive audience, specifically understanding product awareness and perceptions for a pharma drug. The business case was supposed to be high-level, but the actual presentation with ZoomRx interviewers wasn't at that level. The audience seemed to ask basic questions about the case, as if they didn't know the products or market, which I think was to see if I'd get nervous. If I were to do it again, I'd ask who the presentation is for and if they're familiar with the case to avoid interruptions with basic questions. They said they liked my presentation and experience. The whole process was supposed to take a week, but it ended up being about two months. Even after checking my references, they didn't extend an offer. I hope the founders get more serious about candidates. Some interviewers seemed to have a questionable consulting style, so I'd be careful about how you're treated as an employee. On the positive side, ZoomRx has a really innovative MR platform and IT technology that's effective for pharma companies to quickly understand the market.
