Sales Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, there was a general Q&A round. Then, a second round involved a sales pitch and some case study questions to see how I'd handle practical situations and strategic thinking. It all seemed designed to test confidence and communication skills.
- Can you simulate a conversation with a restaurant owner, with me playing that role?
- Could you present a sales pitch?
- What are your strategies for handling sales cases and what insights would you bring?
Sales Manager
The interview process started with an Area Sales Manager, then I met the City Head and Assistant Vice President. The third round was with another Area Sales Manager. For the fourth round, I had to travel to meet a different Area Sales Manager. The fifth round had two people, a Key Accounts Manager and an Area Sales Manager. There were no HR rounds. Every time, I was asked to sell something. I was told that I would have to work 7 days a week, with no work-life balance. I was rejected just for asking to work from Baner because it's close to my home. They have no empathy! They don't judge you for what you have, but for what you don't have! The good part was the enthusiasm among the people, if you have no life outside work, this is the perfect place for you.
- I'm here to buy an iPhone 10, can you sell me a One Plus 5 instead?
- I need to exchange currency for a trip to the US, can you sell me a holiday package?
- I own a famous clothing store, and you represent Chennai Super Kings. Sell me your team's jerseys.
Sales Manager
This interviewer was really rude and didn't seem interested from the start. After the interview, instead of telling me I didn't get the job, they just wrote 'rejected' on my CV right in front of me. I really wish they had just told me I wasn't selected for the next steps. They totally lacked basic manners, makes you wonder what they learned.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- How would you go about selling a product to me?
- What was the salary you were drawing last?
