We had an online assessment that was 1.5hrs long and included quant aptitude, data interpretation, logical reasoning, 3 SQL questions, and 1 Python question. 10 candidates were shortlisted for the interviews as it was an on-campus process. There were 3 interview rounds in total. The first round focused on internships, product improvement, and puzzles. The second round was a proper product interview where they grilled us on why product, why Zomato, and included some guesstimates.

The entire interview process took place on a single day. We started with an assessment on HackerEarth's platform right there on campus. It was proctored, and Zomato representatives were supervising the venue. The test lasted for an hour and had two sections. The first section included 20 MCQs covering Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and MySQL, ranging from easy to moderate difficulty. The second section had 3 coding questions in MySQL, focusing on Joins and Subqueries. One of these was easy to moderate, but the other two were hard and proved to be the main challenge. It's a good idea to get familiar with HackerEarth's MySQL IDE beforehand because the outputs and test cases are different from typical DSA assessments. We got the OA results within an hour. Out of 408 students, only 19 were shortlisted for interviews, and then 4 of us made it to the second round.
