First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ZOLL Medical.
Software Engineer
I had three interviews that lasted 6 hours in total. The interviewers were nice, but it felt like a setup. They didn't get technical with me at all, so I guess they already knew who they wanted and just needed me to fill the space so they could say they tried. I would love to hang out with them, but I will never interview there again.
- What do I do in my free time?
Software Engineer
The interview process had 3 main steps: first a screening, then a call with an engineer, and finally a virtual on-site interview. The on-site was broken down further: Part 1 was a call with the hiring manager to discuss my background. Part 2 was a call with an engineer where I got a variety of technical questions based on my resume and background. Part 3 was a 3-3.5 hour interview with different people. This included an interview with a technical director asking about my background, an interview with a technical manager about my technical background and some situational/behavioral questions, an interview with 2 engineers on the team about specific technical aspects of my resume, an interview with a principal engineer which was the most in-depth technical part covering technologies I knew and best practices, an interview with a PM and BA asking some technical questions about past projects and how my experience relates to their apps, and finally an interview with HR covering situational and behavioral questions. There was no coding involved, but lots of verbal technical and situational questions. It felt like a fair and transparent process.

Software Engineer
I applied and then had a phone chat with HR about 2-3 weeks later. After that, I had a Zoom meeting with the head of the department. Then, I had another Zoom interview with three engineers who are in the department and have different levels of seniority.
