First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zipwhip.
Senior Account Executive
It was a thorough interview process with several rounds of interviews with peers and leadership. The process provided good insight into opportunities and challenges of the day to day role and responsibilities. Everyone was very transparent and extremely pleasant.
- Presentation required in front of team
Account Executive
It started with a phone screen then an in-person interview at their office. I began with a mock phone call with a client (we did it twice) and the interviewer was really engaged and nice. After that, two more people came in and it got unprofessional. One guy kept checking his phone and texting during the interview and the other kept looking out the window the whole time. They also started telling me my answers to some questions were wrong, which has never happened before. They said they'd let me know their decision by the end of the week, but it's been a full week with no word. I get not hiring someone, but at least tell them no. I'd rather be told no than wait around. The first interviewer was professional and great, but the other two were some of the most unprofessional people I've met, and I'm glad I wasn't offered the job. Working with people I enjoy is important to me, and seeing those two unprofessional employees made me realize this wasn't the right fit.
- What qualities do you seek in a mentor, and what about in a manager?
Account Executive
It was very casual, no strict interview questions. First, I met with a recruiter and a sales lead. They reviewed my resume, asked about my background, and a few additional questions. Following that, we did a sales role play, so be ready for that. Then, I had another chat with a different recruiter and a current account executive, and we did another role play.
- What management style do you prefer?
- What drives you?
- How would you approach your first month if you got the job?
