Account Executive
3 interviews took place in a corporate setting. It wasn't my top pick for a workplace, and I'm typing more just to hit the word count because it seemed pretty average. Indeed is another company known in this field.

Enterprise Account Executive
The interview process takes three weeks and includes four steps. Be prepared for a great experience if you put in the work and research. 1. Recruiter phone screen: Expect basic questions about your background, deal size, average deal cycle, quotas, how you performed against them, salary expectations, and hiring timeline. The most crucial question is whether you're a hunter or a farmer in sales. 2. Video interview with a sales manager: The leaders are conversational, personable, and open to connecting on LinkedIn. You'll get feedback if you close at the end of the interview. 3. Presentation video interview: You'll sell the ZipRecruiter solution to two other sales managers. Since the entire process and job is about closing deals, make sure you achieve this after every interview. 4. Final video interview with the hiring manager and director: They seem genuinely interested in getting to know you, so be authentic and help them understand your character, culture fit, and how your background and qualifications will contribute to the role. Good luck! Be confident and have fun!

Enterprise Account Executive
I applied on Zip Recruiter, then a recruiter reached out to schedule a call. The first interview was a phone call with the recruiter, followed by a phone interview with the Key Accounts Manager. Next, they scheduled me to fly to Phoenix for an in-person interview with the Key Accounts Manager, and then a video interview with another manager. The final part was a sales pitch using presentation materials. I had 48 hours to prepare, learning their value statements and creating a presentation from rough material. I got the material Tuesday night and had to pitch Thursday, including travel. The managers were late and seemed unprepared, not even knowing what information I was given for the presentation. They stopped me mid-pitch to ask about the source of my information. The pitch was supposed to be 30 minutes, but the manager ran over by 10 minutes, so my pitch was effectively 20 minutes instead of 30. After all this, I received a generic rejection letter and had to wait over a month for expense reimbursement.
