The interview process was great and very straightforward, which made it easy to engage and answer questions. I was nervous at first, but the interviewer made me feel comfortable, allowing me to relax, speak my mind, and confidently share my knowledge and experience.

Presentation Behavioral

I was contacted for an interview on a Friday and was told I'd hear back the following week. That same day, at 4:30 PM, they asked if I could interview on Monday. I didn't see the email until Sunday afternoon. The email requested I prepare a presentation for the second interview. I couldn't make the Monday interview because I work full-time and had meetings Monday through Wednesday. I called the recruiter first thing Monday and emailed them, saying I was available Thursday or Friday afternoon. I didn't get confirmation, but I assumed they wanted a second interview, so I worked on my presentation Monday night and rearranged my schedule to have evenings free to prepare it for a Thursday presentation. Late Tuesday afternoon, I received an email stating Zions Bank had offered the position to another candidate. They apparently thought I wasn't interested because I was unavailable Monday or Tuesday. I find it unusual and unreasonable to expect someone to leave their job mid-day twice in a row. It was also inconsiderate to invite me for a second interview and not give me enough time to schedule it. I feel like if they weren't willing to wait a few days for an interview, I was never seriously considered. They should have let me know after the first interview. The whole process was disorganized. I expected better from a large, respected organization.

Behavioral Other

I applied to 3 different locations and had an interview at 2, and they were very different. The first interview was pretty standard and I thought it went well. For the second interview, I drove to meet the branch manager. When I arrived, he primarily asked get-to-know-you questions, with only about 2 questions related to the job itself. The rest of the time was casual conversation about my life, the job, the company, and even some about his life and job history. I felt confident in both interviews and thought I nailed them. I was told I'd hear back within a few days about the job offer, but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't even received an email saying no.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

You'll start with a phone interview where you need to make a loan sale to someone who just opened a new account. Focus on finding their needs first and then selling at the end based on what they told you. The main thing is to have a smooth conversation using open-ended questions to figure out what they need. After the phone sale, you'll come in for an in-person interview. This part is to check your communication skills with spontaneous questions and see if you can follow directions for a computer task. Be detailed in your answers for the manager and sound excited. Be ready to talk about problems you've had at work, how you solved them, and how you dealt with clients.
