Behavioral Technical

It was pretty straightforward - a behavioral interview, then a technical one, and then a superday with the team. The behavioral interview really dug into the "why banking" question, so definitely have a solid answer ready for that. The technical interview was pretty standard, asking about the three financial statements, cost of equity, and some basic valuation questions.

I first called the company and sent my CV to the email address they gave me. Then I was invited to meet with the director who explained my duties. There was a nice breakfast, and everything was at the hotel's client level. The hotel restaurant is no longer an issue.

I had a first round phone interview with HR in Chicago. Then, the next day, I went into the NYC office. From there, the company was miscommunicative. They asked me to come back the next day after my HR interview at the last minute. I was supposed to meet with three people. During the first interview, the interviewer cut me short after five minutes because they had to take a phone call. I interviewed with the next person, and then waited two hours. After that, I found out the other interviewers couldn't meet me, and I was told HR would reach out. No one ever reached out after that, and HR never responded to my emails.

I had one main interview with the general manager, which was set up through a recruitment agency. It was about 30 minutes long, and he asked me general questions about the job. I also got to ask him some questions. It seemed like a nice role, but it wasn't the right fit for me.
