DevOps Engineer
The interview process consists of five main stages. First, there's a phone interview with HR to make sure you're a good fit for the Senior DevOps Engineer role. After that, you'll have a video interview with the Principal of DevOps. Then, you'll be given a code exercise to complete at home within a 24-hour deadline. The next step is a video interview with the Leader Group and the VP. Finally, there's a personal interview with an HR representative.
- Could you describe a project from your previous company and elaborate on the details?
- Please present one of your projects and explain your approach to designing it from the ground up.
DevOps Engineer
I spoke with the recruiters first, then had an interview with a DevOps engineer who gave me a simple task. After that, I had a technical interview with the VP of R&D, and met with HR at the office. I got an offer the following week. The whole thing was done in just one week.
- Could you build a REST API using AWS DynamoDB and containerize it with Docker Compose?
- How would you approach securing secrets and sensitive data, focusing on DevSecOps principles?
- Can you walk me through an architectural solution you implemented for a past client?
DevOps Engineer
I got this interview through a recruiting agency. First, I spoke with HR, then had a technical chat with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer in the end.
- Can you explain what a VPC is?
- When would you choose Lambda over Kubernetes, and vice versa?
