Account Executive
I was initially reached out to by a recruiter. After an initial phone screen, she arranged an interview with the hiring manager. This was supposed to happen a week after she said she'd get back to me. The hiring manager didn't show up and only gave a weak apology two days later after I sent multiple emails. Rescheduling wasn't a priority for him. The call, when it happened, was only 20 minutes of easy questions and casual chat. I met all the requirements for the role and showed my excitement, and was told I'd hear about next steps soon. However, after two weeks of following up with the recruiter, I got an automated rejection email with no personal message from the recruiter or hiring manager. This experience was disappointing due to the lack of professionalism and communication, suggesting a culture of ignoring candidates without explanation.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Backend Engineer
Got referred by someone working there. About two weeks later, HR called. Got a C# take-home test on threads, took about 3 hours. Got good feedback the next day and scheduled an onsite interview for a week later. The HR person said it would be about the take-home test, but it wasn't. The onsite day was packed with 4 interviews: 3 hours of technical interviews and 1 HR interview. They decided if they wanted to proceed after the first two technical interviews. A few days after that, they set up another interview with a backend team leader via Teams.
- Can you talk about the take-home assignment and then design a data structure that supports set, get, and setAll operations in constant time?
- If two linked lists intersect, find the node where they merge.
- Design a system for a specific company-related task, focusing solely on system design.
Alliance Manager
I applied online and heard back pretty quickly. My first call with AnnMarie Cleary in Recruiting was good and informative. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, and after that, an in-person interview with them. The questions weren't tricky, they just wanted to see if I could do the job and tell me more about the role and company. About a week later, I talked to three team members, one of whom was an exec. This was also straightforward, and they all let me ask questions. The next week, I got an offer. The recruiter was really helpful in finding a start date that worked for me and the team. The whole thing took about a month. The Zerto team seemed genuinely excited about the company and their experiences there, and that enthusiasm was consistent. Since I started, it's been just like they said – people are collaborative and engaged, leadership is open to discussion, and onboarding was smooth.
- What metrics would you use to gauge the success of the partnerships under your charge?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process involved two main stages. First, I spoke with both the EMEA SDR Manager and the Global SDR Director. This interview was really insightful, covering my past roles and education. It was a lively and friendly chat where they encouraged questions and answered openly. They gave positive feedback right away and if they had any concerns, I felt they would have let me address them. It was a great first impression of management. The second stage was a Skype interview with an HR team member in Tel-Aviv. This was also very friendly and welcoming, focusing on how well I'd fit the company and how the company would fit me. It lasted about 30 minutes, and I got feedback when I asked. The whole process felt smooth and fast, and Zerto definitely has that startup vibe. My advice for anyone interviewing here is to research the company and product well. It shows good skills and gives you natural talking points.
- What drives your success?
- Can you describe your understanding of this role and your daily tasks?
- How do you maintain motivation for success after several unproductive calls?
