Zeno Group General Intern Interview Questions
& Process

So basically first there was a self-recorded video submission where they gave some questions and I had to answer them on video and send it back. Then after that, there were two rounds of interviews, each with two people. One person was a senior associate and the other was a manager or director.

So the interview process wasn't totally awful, I was ready though. I had a phone interview first, and then I went in person to meet the team I would be working with. Honestly, the Account Executives I met didn't seem very knowledgeable. Like, they asked me how I found out about them. I told them I heard through a PRSSA agency visit and also just a Google search where I saw they were hiring. They didn't get the online part. Basically, they didn't understand anything digital, which felt a bit insulting given their role. I was told I'd hear back by the end of the week but didn't for 3 weeks, and no offer came. I ended up taking a full-time job offer elsewhere, which worked out great, and I'm glad I didn't end up working with them.

I saw the internship posting on the PRSSA newsletter and emailed my resume to the internship manager. She then did a brief phone chat with me and set up an in-person interview at the Redwood Shores office. The first couple of interviewers wanted to know more about me overall: my background, what I like and dislike, and my future aspirations. The next couple of interviewers dug deeper into my skills and abilities. The second stage was a bit more challenging, but I enjoyed talking with everyone and understood it wouldn't be an easy offer to get. Shortly after, I received a call from HR in Chicago and was extended an offer. It was great that they accommodated my school schedule, allowing me to start part-time immediately and then transition to full-time over the summer.
