First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ZenGRC.
Sales Development Representative
First, I had a screening call with a recruiter. Then, I did a 30-minute interview with the SDR manager. It was a pretty boring interview, they seemed more interested in when I graduated than my actual experience. The main thing everyone wants to know is the expected KPIs: 70 cold calls a day, you have to find your own leads, and about 20 meetings per quarter. That number of meetings seems a bit low, but it must be tough to get with that many calls. The product looks good, but there's a lot of competition. Overall, the interview itself was really simple, but it sounds like a lot of work for the pay. Also, five days a week in the office sounds like a lot, especially since most places are doing hybrid now with 3 days.
- Why are you interested in a sales career?
- What are your career aspirations for the next 5-10 years?
Sales Development Representative
I was really looking forward to this interview. I thought they were eager to learn about me and see if I'd be a good fit for the role. But when the interview day arrived, one of the recruiters was missing, and the other sounded really uninterested and rushed. I suspect they were more focused on checking if I was 'advanced' enough to move forward, rather than considering someone with solid experience.
- Could you start by telling me a little about yourself?
Sales Development Representative
It was a really easy and stress-free interview process! They really make it feel like the company is team first. I would recommend it to anyone needing their start in sales. I was referred and am very grateful for it.
- What will you contribute to the team?
