So I had two rounds for this internship. The first one was all about stats, data analysis, and coding. The second was an HR interview. I did well in the first round, but unfortunately, I didn't get an offer after the HR interview.

The interview process was not smooth at all. I first got a call from a consultant who told me this role is specifically for SDK development and I would need to answer two SDK-related questions. They would review my answers and if selected, I'd move to the next round. After I sent detailed answers to those questions, there was no contact for a month. Then, the consultant contacted me again saying the panel was free for the second round and scheduled it without informing me about its nature. It turned out to be a DS-Algo round, which I passed. The third round was scheduled within the same week, again without any context provided beforehand. Although every round went well, I received no updates. When I eventually asked for an update, she informed me that the team decided not to proceed. I asked for feedback, but none was given. After reading other reviews, it seems they only consider candidates from Tier I/II colleges.

A recruiter reached out and I had an initial phone call. I was then expecting an in-person interview but instead had another phone call, which was okay. After that second call, I was told I'd have a call with upper management. They scheduled it but then rescheduled. I waited and followed up a few times, but never heard back or got an explanation. I get that things happen or another candidate might be a better fit, but a simple reply would have been professional. I spent a lot of time prepping ideas to present, which was my call, but it would have been nice to be treated properly. Seems like this isn't just me.

My hiring process consisted of about six or seven interviews, with four being online and two in person. Even though it took up a lot of my time, especially since I was still working, each interview made me like the company, its people, and their culture even more. It makes sense that a small startup would want to take their time with recruiting. After I accepted the offer, Zendrive has an onboarding program to help new hires get a strong start by introducing them to all the teams and how they work. Chloe and Mor are great examples of HR and make everyone feel welcome when they start.
