Intern
I chatted with two recruiters. First, we talked about my background and what the internship would be like. They asked about my role in group projects, my favorite class, and what I knew about the company.
- Tell me about your experience with negotiation.
- What do you know about our company?
- What is your favorite class?
Intern
The interview process involved two steps. Initially, I spoke with HR, and then I was invited back for a second interview with the department manager or director. The first interview was pretty standard, with them asking questions and noting down my responses. I heard some other interns had all-day interviews to meet the entire team or department. Most interns were recruited from college campus visits; if you're from OSU with good grades, it's pretty much a done deal.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Intern
Got called in for an interview, and since I had an employee referral, I got a phone interview. They called back after some time. I got the interview in January for my May internship. They asked some questions that were difficult or involved what I thought the company does, which is a bit unclear to outsiders since it's a private company, so not much info is out there. It went well overall and wasn't too hard. It's a good idea to read up on the company and know what they do before you proceed to the interview stage.
- Tell me about your interests and what you're looking to pursue.
- What is your understanding of what our company does?
- How do you think you can contribute to or improve the company?
