It was two phone interviews, then a third one in person at their office. All of them were pretty easy, not a lot of hard technical stuff. The main hiccup was I was pretty much guaranteed an offer, then silence. After a few weeks though, they finally got back to me and the offer was extended.

I applied online and also got an employee referral. First, I had three interviews at their Denver office with people I would work with and the hiring manager. They were all really nice and knew a lot about the company and their own experiences. I was told the job needs 60+ hours a week and pays less than industry standards. Then, I had a follow-up phone interview a week later with another team member. I followed up the next week and they said I was a top candidate and would get an offer soon, just needed a quick call with the CFO. I stayed in touch with the hiring manager for two weeks, and he said they all really liked me and I was a top choice. Still no offer after three weeks. Finally, I had that 'quick' call with the CFO, which turned into an hour-long grilling about my resume and why I'm the best fit based on my background and education. I also had to give a detailed, multi-step analysis of processing quarterly and year-end books and projecting 4-year performance, which took over thirty minutes. I asked some questions and thanked her. I followed up the next week, and she said the hiring manager would contact me. Two more weeks passed, and I got a call saying they were extending the screening process. I didn't know what that meant and asked if I was still getting an offer; they told me to be patient. Two more weeks went by, and I got an email saying I wasn't chosen, with no reason given. It's frustrating to be strung along for over two months and misled like this. I wish they had given a clear yes or no sooner so I could have moved on.
