First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zaxby's.
Cashier
It went well. I walked in and waited a few minutes before the manager came and asked me about my past experience and what I could do. I also got to ask them some questions.
- Do you have previous cashier experience?
Cashier
The interview process was brief and straightforward. The manager was very pleasant and helped ease my nervousness with his friendly and humorous demeanor. The interview itself was quite short, and I received a job offer a couple of days later.
- Can you describe your ability to collaborate effectively within a team?
Cashier
I put in an application online and got a call about a week later saying they really needed daytime cashiers. I went in for an interview and was immediately given a free drink. The GM and an assistant manager met with me, and the assistant manager did my interview. She asked typical interview questions, probably about 10, and the interview took about 15 minutes. She said a call back meant they were interested. Before I even got home, they called to set up a second interview for two days later. It was with another assistant manager, who was really nice and seemed to like my answers, saying I did really well. She explained they usually decide together but she'd put my name in, though they had about 30 interviews to do. I called about a week later, and the GM knew who I was and said they were still interviewing. I called again about a week later, and the positions had been filled. I was disappointed because it seemed like I was going to be hired, but they were very nice.
- Who serves as your role model?
- Can you describe a situation where you had to resolve a conflict?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with an angry customer and how you managed it.
