Partner Marketing Manager
The hiring process was pretty quick, about a week or two. It started with a screener which was great, but then the hiring manager was really cold and seemed annoyed. Application is straightforward, just make sure to prep for the screening questions.
- Can you describe a time when you scaled your work?
Event Marketing Manager
My interview process at Zapier started at the end of December and concluded at the beginning of February. I really enjoyed interviewing at this company. First, there was an initial interview with the recruiter, which was a 30-minute standard vetting interview where the recruiter asked me questions regarding my experience. The questions flowed much better than generic ones and felt more conversational. The recruiter also offered feedback, which I loved, and asked about my salary expectations right away. Then, I had a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager for a fit test. Zapier follows the STAR method, and I was informed beforehand, so I felt prepared. This interview was also conversational, and I had plenty of time to ask my own questions. Due to an internal change, the original hiring manager was swapped, so I had to interview again with the new one. It took almost two weeks to be notified of this change. The interview was similar to the previous one, but the new HM asked me to elaborate on a couple of points for clarity. Finally, there was a panel interview with a presentation, lasting 75 minutes. I had to create a presentation for the hiring manager and another team member, which took some time but was worth it. After that, I had a 45-minute final interview with the CMO, where we discussed my experience and had a great conversation about the company. They ended up hiring someone with more experience in digital conferences.
- How would you go about promoting an event to different audience segments?
Growth Manager
It was a chill chat with the recruiter for the first step. Nice enough, but not super exciting. Lasted about 10 minutes. The job description was pretty vague.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
