Got quick updates throughout the interview process, sent friendly e-mails, unfortunately didn't get an offer but they showed that they care. To apply you had to create a demo integration which was fun to do.

Zapier claims it "makes you happier", but this interview process might not. You might spend 2-4 hours on the application, since they don't accept resumes and make you answer questions. To reduce bias, Zapier uses custom-built extensions on their hiring tools to hide candidates' names and photos, as well as comments from others on the hiring team. The hiring team reviews candidate applications based on a rubric for the job requirements. They will contact you within 7 days to let you know if you didn't pass stage 1, via a system-generated reply with a recruiter's name attached. The reply has a run-on sentence: "bearing bad news, we..." "Thanks so much for applying for the Customer Champion role at Zapier. We know you put a lot of effort in and we're really thankful for that. I'm afraid I come bearing bad news, we aren't moving forward with your application. These emails are the hardest part of the job, as we receive tons of interest and narrowing the field means saying no to a lot of really quality applicants. We're grateful for your time during this process and I really wish I was able to share some specific feedback for you! The tricky thing about feedback is that often there is no clear single thing. Usually it's just because we're in the very fortunate position to have applications from some very talented candidates that just edge out other very talented candidates. I'm sorry that I don't have a more useful answer for you! We wish you every success with your job search! Please stay in touch with us. We've had people apply more than once and successfully find a role with our team. We hope to hear from you again in the future." It's unclear if the manager or VP of support reviews applications or if the HR recruiter denies them, but you'd hope it wasn't the recruiter since they aren't the technical ones. The role you applied for has been listed on their website for a while, suggesting they might not actually need support for your country, despite claiming they do. It seems like they might just be collecting applications and having people create trial accounts to complete the process.

The application itself is pretty basic but it does take a while to finish even if you know the topics. I find it a bit disrespectful that they don't give any feedback from a no-reply address, and they claim humans review everything. I doubt it; they probably use Greenhouse to subcontract recruiting, and maybe a bot checks your LinkedIn first. If your background fits, then a human might look at your answers. They do respond fairly quickly though.
