Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zacks Investment Research.
Research Associate
I had a face-to-face interview with the department head. They asked me some technical questions and also about my educational background. Then, there was an HR interview where they asked about my previous experience, my technical knowledge, and some general HR questions.
- What is the impact of an increased Debt-equity ratio in a company?
- Could you tell me about your educational background?
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Research Associate
It was a pretty standard process. First, there was an introduction by HR. Then, I had a one-on-one meeting with the manager where we discussed a technical problem. The final part was a lunch with the co-founder and the manager. I'd say the lunch counts as an informal interview too, so be mindful of how much and how fast you eat.
- What is an accomplishment you are most proud of?
Research Associate
All total 3 rounds. The first round is a screening where they'll ask about yourself, your previous experience, and questions related to Funds, portfolio, SEC, IAPD, and some full forms of US-based terminology. The second round involves practical questions, and if you pass, you'll be selected. The third round is an HR Round, and after that, you're good to go to join the firm.
- Tell me something about Capital Market, SEC, IAPD, questions related to funds, Portfolio, Share Market, Information about the registered company in SEC.
