Applied online, had a good call with the recruiter and a strong call with the hiring manager. Both were in-depth and conversational. I sent follow-up notes. Then I was completely ghosted. It's odd because they knew I was into investing and talk shop with local investors. So that's possibly thousands of dollars in lost referrals for their services. A simple 'no, we're moving forward with other candidates' would've been fine.

I was really interested in the Sales Representative role and the people I met, but I was taken aback when I saw the Non-Compete Agreement in the contract. It said I couldn't work in a sales job at another company for a year after leaving Zacks, which seemed like a big restriction given the pay and their investment. The process involved a quick phone call and then an office visit for a different position. It took a while to hear back, but then I was interviewed for another role. The interviewers were nice and the atmosphere was pretty relaxed. Before any of that, I had to complete a questionnaire to check my sales aptitude and personality.

The interview process was pretty chill, not like what I expected for a big company. The manager I spoke with was one of the best I've met. A lot of people get rejected by this company, but it seems like a lot of people also say no to them. I think they picked me because I seemed really keen on the company back then since I really needed the work. My tip is to research the company and tell them what they want to hear: that you love sales, you're competitive, and you'll always show up.

The interview process here is pretty straightforward. To get into the research team at Zacks India, you need a Masters. After you get through the initial HR round, you'll be given a project report to write a financial blog based on it. If you pass that, HR will get in touch.
