it was thorough - they asked questions about my past experience and some generic "what would you do" questions, and i met with the head of the department, who would be my immediate boss. the office space was nice, with lots of clothes and rows of computer desks, and it had natural light.

Behavioral

It was a pretty straightforward process. They asked simple questions, but the main thing is to really talk about your past experiences. They really care about whatever experience you have, and if you show good enthusiasm. It was easy overall, but it's kinda hard to move up in the company.

They asked me to go to their stores and write a report about their products. It felt like they just stole my ideas without paying. I spent half a day in the store and half a day writing the report. The feedback from the local officer seemed okay. Then they sent it to Michael Gold in Canada, the owner. It started a FOREVER pending interview in April, and it's now September. I followed up, and they ghosted me after saying they'd contact me in a few weeks. I've started a new job with a much better company, but I suggest avoiding them.

Behavioral Technical Case

I applied online and got an email from HR to schedule a phone interview, which I think went well. After that, they set up an in-person interview with the department manager and buyer. When I got there, I had to wait a long time because they couldn't find the manager, which felt unprofessional. The office was dark and had no windows. The interview felt rushed, and I was interrupted a lot, even though I had prepared answers. The questions weren't too hard, given my background. They gave one-word answers when I asked questions at the end, making me feel like they wanted me gone. There was also a math test with about 10 questions about percentages and markups. The whole experience felt cold and unwelcoming. I didn't get an offer, and I wouldn't have taken it anyway.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Why do you think you are the most suitable candidate for this role?
  • Can you describe your approach to managing multiple tasks and thriving in a dynamic work setting?
  • What attributes distinguish a truly outstanding buyer?
