Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at YipitData.
Accounts Payable Specialist
My interview experience was great overall. Everything was set up nicely, and they kept me in the loop. The people I talked to were pros and made sure I knew what the job was about and what the company expected. It was tough but fair, and they really checked if I was a good fit. I liked how much attention and help they gave me during the whole thing.
- Could you share your background regarding accounts payable workflows?
- Walk me through an instance where you dealt with a challenging situation in accounts payable.
- How do you maintain precision in your tasks?
Revenue Accountant
I answered some initial screening questions and then went through 3 interviews and a take-home test. I only made it to the second interview. They said I was qualified but that I didn't ask enough questions or show enough interest. I thought this was unfair because I did ask questions when I could, and I showed interest without being over the top. The interviewers were nice, though the second one had a bit of a language barrier. It was a pretty standard interview process with typical questions for a startup. Maybe if you act more excited, you'll do better. Good luck.
- What makes you want to work at YipitData?
- Can you share an experience of failure and how you overcame it?
- Describe your best and worst manager.

Then it is reference/background check and final decision. A. I like the exercise and assignment: It gave me a good feel for the work that this Accounting Manager is assigned and whether it would be work I enjoy. In addition, it gives the company a chance to review my work product. B. The whole process went smoothly and interviews were great! I really enjoyed the virtually meeting with the team. Even though it was an interview, it was like a chat, conversation and discussion for job & life between colleagues/ new friends, connecting in a harmonious way. C. What interested me in particular was the improvements and changes that the team want to make, and the experience of learning and growing within a fast-paced organization. D. If you are looking for a place where you can learn and grow with true ownership and unique culture, it is the right place:) E. I was kept updating very on time during the interview process which was really nice! They care about all the candidates! Also they are vey patient to answer all your questions/concerns. F.
