Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yext.
Analyst
The interview experience spanned about 3–4 weeks, with a decision taking another 1–2 weeks. It included a recruiter call, an interview with a Senior Analyst, a panel round featuring a technical SQL assessment and a chat with the hiring manager, and a final round with the Director that involved a problem-solving exercise. While the process was structured, there were communication issues regarding the final decision, which was delayed twice.
- Can you share your strategy for reducing airport wait times?
Analyst
My interview process from application to offer took 2 months, which felt very long but wasn't that hard. Scheduling interviews was slow, and they gave me a take-home excel test that took a few hours. The Superday had three 30-minute zoom interviews and a 40-minute excel test. I didn't accept the offer because it was half my salary and the timing didn't work. They were inflexible on start date and pay, and didn't seem to want to find another role that might work better.

- For the Upward program, what rotations would you be interested in and what are your reasons why?
Senior Analyst
Overall, I had an excellent experience with the process. The interviewers created a very comfortable and professional environment that encouraged open and meaningful conversation. Each discussion was thorough and in-depth, allowing me to share my perspective while also learning more about the role and organization. The entire process felt well-structured and thoughtfully organized, which made it smooth and easy to navigate from start to finish.
