The interview process was really well run. Everyone I interacted with, from the start to the finish, was helpful in letting me know what was coming next and gave me the info I needed to get ready. It's clear why people enjoy working here. The process included a call with a recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager, followed by an interview with another manager in the department. After that, there was a presentation, and they made sure I was well-prepared for it. The last step was a final phone call with an AVP.

Behavioral Presentation

A recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn and the first call went well. The next step was an on-site interview. I was excited about this because I'd interviewed here before after college but didn't get an offer. The office location and lobby are nice, but the sales floor and other departments were really cluttered and messy. Someone even called the kitchen area 'a high school cafeteria'. For the actual interview, I was set to meet two hiring managers. It was in a small room with a couch, which felt weird and uncomfortable because I was sitting right next to the other candidate. One manager was remote from California and was eating during my interview. It felt disrespectful, especially since he's been there over 4 years and is a leader. To make things worse, they said they'd update me, but after all the prep, the visit, and sending thank you emails, Yext ghosted me. I felt I had to share my experience on Glassdoor because I felt disrespected and underwhelmed. My advice to others interviewing at Yext: don't bother, there are too many great companies in NYC.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had a great recruiter who was super helpful and clear about everything. First, I chatted with the recruiter, who was my main contact. Then, I met with the recruiting manager. After that, I had a 30-minute meeting with the hiring manager. Next up was another 30-minute call with someone from a different department, which was my favorite part – mostly situational and behavioral questions, a good chance to show my personality and experience. The second to last round was a 30-minute mock discovery/presentation with a 15-minute debrief. And if all that went well, there was a final 15-30 minute chat with the VP of the team. I really enjoyed the whole thing and I'm thrilled to be joining!
