Applied for the role and got a phone screen request within a week. Started with a phone chat with the Senior Recruiter, who asked about skills, experience, and career goals. She was really nice and professional, and shared a lot about her time at YETI, painting a clear picture of the job and workplace. Over the next few weeks, leading up to the offer, I had two office visits and another phone interview. During this period, there were a lot of positive changes happening, like leadership expansion and team role shifts, which even led to a new hiring manager and a second office visit to meet them. Everyone on the team and in leadership kept me updated on my candidate status and their internal changes. From application to onboarding, the process felt incredibly fast and smooth, especially considering they were going through a transformation. There was no confusion or lack of communication. I also liked how they tied their core values into the interviews, asking questions to check for alignment and providing specific examples of how the company lives those values.

I was really excited to interview with Yeti, a company I admire. The process had 3 rounds. The communication was awful throughout. They never followed up when they said they would and didn't respond to my follow-up emails about next steps. I ended up giving up because they ghosted me. It was super unprofessional and disorganized.

Right after applying, I got an email and scheduled a chat with the recruiter. She was late and started grilling me with questions. About halfway through, she reminded me that everyone wants to work at YETI. It really put me off and I'd never consider them now. My advice is to make the screens more conversational, let the candidate talk, and don't grill them.
