The first meeting was with a recruiter from YER for an introduction. After that, the recruiter scheduled the actual workplace interviews and also negotiated on my behalf. It was clear that the recruiter had a bit of a dual agenda, as negotiating a deal favorable to YER was also important. However, during the negotiations where I wasn't present, clear advantages for me were also secured.

It was a normal interview process. They asked random questions. They inquired about my background, what I wanted to do, and my expectations. It was not very helpful for someone just out of university. I had about 5 conversations with different people, but I couldn't even get one proper interview. A couple of times they said they would send me some training sites, but I never received them.

A recruiter from YER reached out in March '23 about a development program for a DevOps Engineer role. After our initial chat, it took them a month to get back to me in April '23. I then connected with a different recruiter who asked me the same questions about my motivation that I'd already covered. This happened twice, once on a call and once in person, with the same recruiters asking the same questions but in different places. The recruiters were nice, and overall it was a decent experience, aside from the repetitive questions about my motivation.

The process took over 4 months, and I had to constantly ask for feedback or updates. I wasn't kept informed about the process, and each time there was a different excuse why the appointment wasn't kept. The communication was very unclear, and I felt like I was being strung along. It's very unprofessional to expect exclusivity from the candidate's side, but then constantly fail to keep your appointments. I mentioned this twice, but eventually, it's too much for me. I stopped the process myself.
