Software Engineer
I'm getting ready for my interviews by working through LeetCode medium and hard problems, getting good at system design, practicing machine coding, and brushing up on DSA. I'm focusing on both high-level and low-level design, and I'm also doing take-home assignments to get better at problem-solving and be totally ready for the technical parts of the interviews.
- Working on LeetCode medium/hard problems, system design, and machine coding rounds.
- Preparing for DSA, high-level and low-level design, and completing take-home assignments for interview readiness.
Software Engineer
It was a phone interview first, then an in-house one. The first part was a screening with HR, and then it continued. They mentioned there's a lot of technical debt and asked if I could handle working with a lot of old systems.
- Tell me about your background.
- Would you be alright with dealing with significant technical debt?
- Are you comfortable with maintaining legacy systems?
Software Developer
I was first contacted by HR for some screening questions and to set up a phone interview with the technical lead for the following week. That technical interview lasted about an hour, and the questions weren't too difficult; they also asked for some definitions and examples. About a week later, HR got back to me with positive feedback and scheduled another technical interview, this time in person, with a senior development manager and a senior developer. Most of the questions were similar to the phone interview, plus some soft skill questions and 'tell me about yourself' type questions. Two weeks after that, HR contacted me again for another in-person interview. This interview was almost 2 hours long, focusing mostly on hard skills for the first hour and a half with a team lead, followed by soft skills with a project manager and the HR rep. I was told there would be another interview with the director, but I never heard back from them.
- What are your thoughts on the commute to work?
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you describe your soft skills?
