First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yell.
Business Development Manager
The interview process involved a power point presentation followed by some interview questions to see if the job aligns to the criteria. It was a really positive experience; the interviewer, Aaron, made me feel very at ease and comfortable, and we even broke the ice with laughter. The online onboarding process after acceptance was super quick and modern, using facial recognition and passport chip linking to an iPhone. The whole thing took 3 days from interview to contact.
- Could you tell me about your aspirations and values?
Business Development Manager
The interview process had two main stages. Both stages were pretty laid-back, but the second one included a presentation and some deeper dives into questions. The time between the first and second interviews was a bit longer than I would have liked.
- How would I cope in a role that requires a fast turn around?
Business Development Manager
The interviewers made me feel really comfortable from the start, which was nice since I hadn't interviewed in eight years. I had to give a presentation on a topic they chose, and then we chatted about it and I answered their questions. I got to ask my own questions too, and their answers seemed straightforward and genuine. Both interviewers were clearly really enthusiastic about the company and its products. They gave me some honest feedback after the interview, which went for about an hour. I was told I'd hear back the same day, and sure enough, they called that afternoon to offer me the job. I'm excited to start!
- Can you walk me through your previous jobs?
- What were your biggest achievements in past positions?
- What motivates you to apply for this role?
