Behavioral Presentation

I had an initial chat with the hiring manager and it was really good. He quickly told me about his journey with Yell and we chatted about our families and hobbies too. I did the same and we found we had a lot in common. It was quite informal so we could talk openly and by the end of the first interview, which was about an hour, I felt Yell would be a great place for me. I was told I was moving on to the next stage, which was a presentation to the hiring manager and Head of Field Sales, followed by some competency questions. We set the date and time then and there! The second stage was also really enjoyable and both interviewers made me feel comfortable and were friendly and interested. After the presentation, we talked about my transferable skills and experience and I got another chance to ask questions. The whole process gave me a really good understanding of the business and by the end of the interview I knew Yell would be the right place for me. I got a call the same day saying I'd got the job, which was great. My whole experience with Yell was amazing! Professional, friendly, genuine, personable and informative.

It was a pretty interesting interview process. They asked a mix of competency and personal questions, wanting to learn about my background and previous experiences, plus some of my knowledge. They also wanted to hear about team situations I'd been in and times I showed leadership.

The interview process at Yell was really good. I applied and got a call the same day. It only took 9 days from applying to getting the job offer. It's important for me that the company and role are a good fit, and even though it was fast, I felt like I knew what the job was about. The careers website and videos were super helpful for preparing and understanding the job and the interviews. They communicated really clearly, so I knew what to expect and what was coming next at each step. This made me feel like they genuinely want good people to join them. The final presentation/role-play/interview was challenging sometimes, but fair, and I was happy to get the offer and accept!
