Sales Associate
quick interview only lasted about 10 or so minutes, talk about previous experience, skills etc. not too formal, felt more chatty than an actual interview. was told how long i would wait to hear back but didn’t hear back
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
- What are your skills?
Sales Associate
Got a call for a 'short' interview at the place. Showed up and it was in a small kitchen, lasted about 15 mins. The interviewer didn't know me or have my CV. The job was advertised as full-time but it's actually 30 hours. They mainly asked about my past experience, nothing too tricky. I guess I didn't get it because I have a family and couldn't commit to working every weekend and constantly over Christmas with no days off. It seems like a job that would suit someone younger without kids or a social life. Wages weren't mentioned, so I assume they're the minimum possible. They also never called back afterwards like they said they would.
- Would you be able to lift heavy boxes, as they are heavy?
- Is it okay for you to work every Saturday and Sunday?
Sales Associate
Had two interviews, first with the manager and then with the assistant manager. Because the store is small, they were really looking for personality and reliability. The first interview was informal, seated outside the store next to the manager, with a friendly back-and-forth and standard questions. Got a call a few days later asking me to come back for a second interview a week later. This interview was with the assistant manager, seated across from each other in the food court. Many questions were repeated. The process felt long for the position, taking about 3 weeks. I was told I was picked from a stack of applicants, so personality seemed important.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What makes you want this particular job?
- What is your proudest work accomplishment?
