First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yanfeng.
Engineer
It was a straightforward interview. I met with a panel and answered questions about my field. The interviewers were good. I interviewed with the team I would be joining. It was a good experience overall.
- How much do you know about GD&T?
Product Engineer
There were several interviews and a technical test in NX (could be CATIA) to make a change in a plastic injection part and add draft vectors. It's not difficult, you just need to read the problem they give you carefully to make the change.
- Can you explain the principles of GD&T?
- What are the principles of plastic injection molding?
- Describe how you would modify a plastic injection part and add draft vectors using NX (or CATIA).
Engineering
The hiring process moved pretty fast; I got an email soon after I responded. The interview involved recording myself answering questions that they had emailed over. I'm still waiting to hear back, even after two months.
- Can you share an example using the STAR method that illustrates a challenging situation you encountered?
- Describe a situation where you had to deal with a difficult colleague, using the STAR methodology.
- Tell me about a time you experienced a failure and the lessons you learned from it, following the STAR format.
