Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Yamaha.
Marketing Executive
It was a simple and straightforward interview that got to the important questions. It was casual at times, which made it comfortable to be myself and answer questions to the best of my ability. One downside is that they could have been clearer on the job responsibilities and expectations.
- Can you tell me about your specializations in media production?
Marketing
Was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screening. Then had an hour-long remote interview with the hiring manager. Was given a test project and had to do a 30-minute presentation with the hiring team, followed by 30 minutes of Q&A. Got rejected via email right after.
- Do you have experience with Workfront?
Marketing
I had a good 1-hour phone screen with management, then I met the team and supervisors. After that, I had to do a 2-hour strategy test by a deadline. Then, I had another phone screen with HR. Finally, they emailed me to set up a call with HR.
- Coming from a fast-paced agency, how would you adapt to a more conservative organizational pace, and would you be comfortable with that?
- Regarding salary, we had a slightly awkward discussion about potential compensation.
