Coding Technical Behavioral

So, the interview started with an online coding test where I had to review a pull request, solve two Leetcode-style problems, and do one iOS-specific implementation. After that, there was an in-person technical interview, which was pretty rough because the interviewer was really aggressive and kept cutting me off. Finally, we had a behavioral and culture fit round.

  • Build a Swift data structure supporting add, get, remove, and evict operations. Ignore undefined operations.

Behavioral Technical

It was almost three interviews for new grads. The first was a potential interview, the second was a pro interview, and the last was an HR interview. All had easy questions. But the biggest problem was that the interviewer might not be from the department you want to join. For instance, if you selected the data science department, the HR might be from infra and talk about infra for 30 minutes, wasting all the time.

  • What are your career aspirations at Yahoo Japan?
  • To what extent are you familiar with the infrastructure at Yahoo?
