The interview process was super smooth and efficient, with 4 rounds packed into about 3 hours. The interviewers were practically back-to-back, hardly any breaks between them. The first one was a phone call focusing entirely on C++ concepts like virtual functions, smart pointers, reference-counted smart pointers, and memory management. Then, the in-person part started: round two was all about algorithms, round three covered data structures and OS concepts, round four was a puzzle, and the fifth round was with the manager.

I applied online via LinkedIn and got a call from HR. I had 2 telephonic interviews in November, but then no response from HR. Suddenly in mid-December, Y! HR called and invited me to the Y! campus in Bangalore. My flight was delayed and I reached the campus at 2 PM. The HR did not offer lunch and took me directly to the conference room. I had 5 more interviews there and finished by 7 PM. HR said feedback would be by the end of next week and provided a guest room. The Y! workplace was impressive.

I had a telephonic round followed by four in-person rounds. They asked about my work, data structures, algorithms, and computer fundamentals. It was a nice experience, and I could answer most questions. I even applied to the same group where my friend works. The Yahoo! office in EGL has a good ambiance.
