Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xplor Technologies.
Software Engineer
I had a 45–50 minute interview with the manager. We started with theory questions about my projects, asking me to explain specific features and how I built them. Then, I was given two SQL join queries and a coding challenge, which I completed in Java. It went well, and I felt good about my answers.
- Can you describe how you put the email functionality into your project?
- Could you detail the implementation of specific features in your projects?
Software Engineer Intern
For the interview process, there were 3 rounds in total: an aptitude round, a technical round, and an HR round. The aptitude round involved solving both aptitude and coding problems. In the technical round, you had to answer questions posed by the interviewer. Lastly, the HR round focused on answering behavioral questions.
- How have you handled pressure?
Senior Software Engineer
The interview had 2 rounds, first was technical which lasted for an hour and the second one was a managerial round, it went around for 35-40 mins. Even if you clear both the rounds, they'll tell you that you ain't selected or they'll just stop contacting you stating that the skill sets do not match with requirements. DON'T FALL IN THE SUGAR COATED TRAPS OF HR they just blinded assure you for a position and will later stop communicating with you. Had the worst experience what so ever.
- Can you explain LINQ queries?
- How would you find the Nth highest salary using SQL?
- Write code to count character occurrences in a string.
