First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at XP Inc..
Product Designer
I was approached by a recruiter. The interview was a typical HR one with questions about my experience, challenges, projects etc. I thought it went well, and they even hinted that my profile would fit one of the several available positions (laughs). I received a generic response without feedback. PS: It's a 50 billion company and they offer below market compensation.
- Tell me about a project of yours that was a success and one that was a failure. Why XP?
- Projects executed in all past experiences.
Product Designer
The communication during the hiring process was spread across various channels like WhatsApp, email, and LinkedIn, and wasn't all handled by a single recruiter. On the plus side, initial responses came back sooner than expected. Despite reaching one of the final stages, the rejection notice didn't include any feedback on areas for improvement or explanations. The experience could have been better.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Product Designer
There were 9 interviews in total. Each one was with a stakeholder or work partner relevant to the day-to-day activities. Most of the technical questions were covered in the first meeting, and later the focus shifted to behavioral aspects and cultural fit.
- How do you deal with changes in direction?
- How do you handle priority negotiations?
- Describe your design process.
