First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xometry.
Account Executive
So my interview process with Xometry was kinda long, but overall it was okay. The recruiter I talked to was great, really nice and always available to answer my questions. First, I had an interview with the recruiter, then a two-part interview with two directors, which wasn't too tough. After that, I had to do a mock sales presentation using a deck and scenario they gave me. Then, another interview with a Director, followed by a final chat with another Senior Account Executive. It was a bit confusing because I got conflicting info on who the actual hiring manager was, as they were apparently hiring for two positions. I'd been getting pretty good feedback up to this point and felt good about making it to the final round, which was supposed to be with the VP of sales. A few days later though, they told me they hired someone else. Kinda surprising, but maybe it's for the best given some of the bad reviews I've seen. The whole thing took less than 3 weeks.

Account Executive
The first interview with the recruiter was pretty standard and went well. But the second interview with the two hiring managers was by far the worst interview I've ever had. They asked some generic questions from a list and didn't even seem to be listening to my answers. After just 2-3 questions, they asked if I had any questions for them. I had several, but I was more worried they didn't learn anything about me, so I tried to share more about why I'd be a good fit while asking them questions and connecting my experience where I could. I suspect both of them were preoccupied with something else the entire time. The interview finished 25 minutes early. I didn't make it to the next stage. Maybe I was the 10th person they interviewed that day, but they could have at least acted like they cared. I wouldn't recommend applying here after an experience like that. Even if they had offered me the job, I wouldn't have accepted it.

Account Executive
The interview process included Zoom calls with three Xometry employees, followed by a presentation to two of them. It felt more like a casual chat about my background and skills rather than an intense interrogation. I was able to use a sales presentation I'd done before, so it wasn't too nerve-wracking. The entire process was wrapped up in just four days, moving quickly, which seems fitting for the role. Everyone I met was really nice and upfront, making me eager about the possibility of working here.
