Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at XL Construction.
Project Engineer
The interview process was super relaxed. They seemed more interested in my enthusiasm for the work than my actual skills or knowledge. Since it's an intern position, I guess they really value a desire to learn and a genuine passion for the job over your current skill set. Everyone at XL Construction was incredibly nice, and I had a great time during the interview process.
- Why are you interested in this particular role?
Project Engineer
It was a pretty standard interview process. They read off good questions. I met with three people, and the whole thing took about an hour. Make sure you're ready.
- Can you tell me about a challenge you faced and how you overcame it?
Project Engineer
The interview process was pretty normal I thought. I had one-on-one conversations with four different people who had different roles. One interviewer was really intense and kind of made me feel bad, but the other three were really nice. It seems like a good company, but it's hard to get hired there.
