The interview process was very quick and friendly. It was an okay experience, especially considering the speed. Usually, there are 3-4 rounds, but feedback might take a while. The recruiter has to get feedback from all the hiring managers, consolidate it, and then get back to you, so be patient.

The interview started off with the interviewer joining late, requiring a reminder. The senior manager seemed more focused on boosting sales than on social media or branding best practices. When I shared ideas, she mainly asked if I could handle the high pressure and fast pace of a Chinese company. I assured her I could, citing experience with major companies in high-stress environments. I also mentioned the need for clear policies on overtime and irregular hours, as I'm flexible but not available 24/7 without fair compensation. After rushing through her requirements, she said she'd set up a second call to discuss fit. A few days later, HR informed me my application wasn't moving forward. Key issues seemed to be the interviewer's lack of interviewing skills, unfamiliarity with the role and Western European labor laws, and a potential mismatch with Chinese work regulations. The interviewer also mentioned high turnover, which seems likely given the apparent lack of structure and onboarding. Their social media presence suggests wasted resources; they need better organization and cohesion. Good luck to future candidates, they'll need it.

I was contacted by the HR team in Europe. The first interview was with the marketing director of Italy, and it involved a business case about social media skills. Then I had a second interview with Europe HQ in Germany. The third interview was with HQ in China with the team.
