Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xerox.
Sales
This whole process was a complete waste of time. I had a scheduled interview/screen with the HR person. She ended up calling me on the phone for a quick 3-minute chat. Then, *after* our call, she put a meeting on my calendar, which was the original meeting I scheduled at HER request. So, on the day of the interview, I got ready, joined the Zoom call she provided, and she told me it was canceled because we had already spoken. If that was the case, why did you schedule it for me *after* our call and why make me schedule it in the first place if you were just going to call me whenever you felt like it? At least have the courtesy to cancel instead of wasting my time. I definitely do NOT recommend this company. If I get an offer or a second interview, I will be declining. This is not the kind of experience I want as an employee.
- Could you tell me about your sales experience duration?
Sales Representative
It was a very cordial and open process. I met with HR, the hiring manager, the Sales VP, and the Services VP. We had very comfortable, open, and candid business discussions. It was very refreshing compared to other interviews I've been through.
- Tell me why you're a great fit for this role at Xerox.
- Can you share your experience that makes you a strong candidate?
- What's your strategy for identifying potential customers and developing a sales territory?
Sales Representative
I had past experience in the industry and was able to hit things off quickly in my interview. My manager was more concerned about my background and what my hobbies were. I could see he had an interest in me and if we could carry conversation easy. He did ask me questions as to where I was trying to go and why I wanted to work with Xerox. He was very informative about the role and different benefits that came with this job.
- What have you been doing in your spare time while you were between jobs?
