Software Engineer
So, multiple rounds happened. First, there was a screening. Then, a general technical interview that also checked my English for client handling and basic programming stuff. After that, a more technical round focused on algorithms for sorting, which was the deciding round. Lastly, I had a chat with the founder.
- Questions about Data Structures and Algorithms
- Questions about SQL
- English proficiency for client interaction
Senior Software Engineer
I interviewed for a Senior Java Developer position and got through the first round which was technical, covering Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, performance tuning, and real-world problems. The second round with the Delivery Head was more about managerial and leadership skills. We discussed leading teams, client communication, project timelines, conflict resolution, motivation, resource planning, balancing tech duties with mentoring, and end-to-end delivery ownership under pressure. Even though I shared my experience, I guess I didn't fully hit the mark on the delivery leadership side for that round. The whole thing was super short, less than 10 minutes, which makes me wonder if you can really gauge leadership in such a short time. It felt like a missed opportunity to really dive deep into leadership. Anyway, I didn't get selected, but it's a good learning experience to grow as a leader, not just a coder. I'm still focused on improving and looking for the next chance to show my skills.
- Can you explain your method for leading technical teams?
- How do you manage client communications and project delivery timelines?
- Could you share your experience with conflict resolution, team motivation, and resource planning?
Appian Developer
We had two technical interviews. The first one was online and covered basic concepts like OOPS, language fundamentals, and SQL. The second interview was offline, and we talked about my past projects and some similar technical questions from the first round.
- Can you explain what the self keyword does in Python?
- Regarding SQL, what is MAX? Is it considered a keyword or a function?
- Could you list all the available data types in Python?
