First up was a chat with a team member from the programmatic side and the hiring manager. They kept the questions pretty simple, mostly about what you think of programmatic advertising and how much you know about it. The second interview was with the hiring manager, and that was more of a two-way street. They showed off Xaxis's tech and tools, and we chatted about how the team is looking to grow.

I had three interviews for the role. First, I talked to the hiring manager about the overall goals and what they are looking for. Then, I spoke with my future direct manager about the day-to-day responsibilities and how the role works within the team. Lastly, I met with a teammate to assess how I would fit into the team's dynamic and current processes.

There were 3 interviews in total. It started with an introductory call, then a meeting with the team, and the final round involved a task. The task was a hypothetical case where I had to present a marketing strategy proposal to a client.

Coding Behavioral Technical

Standard process. First, a recruiter call. Then, a Codility/HackerRank assessment, which was pretty straightforward with LC easy/medium problems. After that, a behavioral interview with the VP of the unit. Finally, a technical 'on-site' round. The whole experience was good until the on-site part. The Codility/HackerRank was fine, but the on-site was tough. Two interviewers seemed okay, but one was really combative and hostile. He made weird faces when I was talking about my experience, which made me uneasy. During the live coding, he kept interrupting me and talking over me, disrupting my thought process. Apparently, he wasn't supposed to be on the call, so I felt like he might have joined to try and sabotage the interview. Overall, it was a valuable experience, and I'm glad it happened because that guy seems like someone I wouldn't want to work with.
