Test Automation Engineer
The interview process had three stages: a face-to-face interview, a telephonic interview, and an HR round. It all wrapped up in about 4-5 working days, and they were looking for people who could start soon. You needed to know the basics of Framework, Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins, Core Java problems, and Maven.
- Can you explain the basics of Selenium?
- What do you know about TestNG basics?
- Tell me about Jenkins basics.
Selenium Automation Test Engineer
It was a walk-in drive. I dropped my CV around noon, and my turn for the first round came after 4pm. By then, the interviewers were really rushed to just get through the process because there were so many candidates. I can't really blame them for rejecting most people since management didn't really plan for that many people showing up.
- Can you write a Java program to print the string "I am anyone" as "anyone am I"?
- Write Selenium scripts to handle webtables.
- Write Selenium scripts to handle multiple windows.
QA Automation Engineer
It was alright, though the interviewer's audio was a bit choppy. I found myself just staring at a blank screen, which felt a little awkward. It was a lengthy interview, combining both functional and technical aspects.
- Can you swap two variables using a temporary variable?
- How would you swap two variables without using a third variable or any built-in functions?
