First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xactware Solutions.
Software Engineer
I applied online and got a phone screen, then went onsite for an interview. The onsite involved whiteboard coding with three engineers. I mentioned having another offer, and they said they'd respond quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back until seven months later when I received a rejection email.
- Can you reverse a string?
Senior Software Engineer
It wasn't super formal, but definitely not super casual either. Pretty good mix. I talked with a couple of people who asked me a good mix of questions about the technical pros and cons of the programming language I was interviewing for and what I hoped to get out of working there. There was also a technical part where I had to code in the language I'd be using.
- What would you hope to gain from an internship opportunity with our company?
Software Developer
I met them at a job fair, and they emailed me for an interview. We did a Skype interview, but then they went silent for three weeks. They contacted me again for a different position and I interviewed a second time. After that, they asked me to program a web app using Angular to show my coding skills. I finished the app and sent them a link, but never heard back.
