Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn about the job, then we had a good chat with the hiring manager. After that, I took an online aptitude test, which the recruiter helped me prepare for with tips and videos. I passed the test and met some team members, which led to an offer. The whole process was clear and I feel good about the company and team.

It started with a quick recruiter call, but they didn't know much about the job. Then came some basic aptitude and personality tests. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager. What they didn't get is that it's a great job market now, so candidates are usually experienced and interviewing elsewhere. It's arrogant to assume candidates are desperate. You need to sell the company too. It was one of the worst interviews ever, so bad I had to cut it short after 15 minutes.
